Pumpkins! That's all :)
Oh, wait. No, not true! I haven't spent nearly enough time in the kitchen this fall. I'm interested in getting back in the game, with a real zinger! Any suggestions? Please share with me your favorite fall dish. Happy Autumn!!!
Girl, that soup you made for your party was so good! I kind of wanted to serve it at our party, but realized I had to branch out a bit. And that pumpkin bread was amazing too. Maybe the goal is to actually move away from the pumpkin? I'm thinking maple, brown butter, warm spices, stout... it sounds like a really good perfume or an epic dessert!

Anything and everything from SOUPLOVE. Remember the roasted mushroom soup we did for our early thanksgiving in 2010? One of my faves!

Bobbi's Chicken from one of the Silver Palate cookbooks, probably available online. Along with homemade applesauce and buttered egg noodles. I'm making it tonight.
ReplyDeleteLove those photos of pumpkins! The colors of fall are so gorgeous. Favorite recipes are butternut squash soup and pizza topped with roasted fall vegetables, from Martha Stewart.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Emily Dickinson's coconut cake recipe?
ReplyDeleteLove making hearty soups - one dish meals. I could eat pumpkin pie all day long too.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever made a savory galette? Simple, comforting, yet impressive all at the same time.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have been intrigued by Dorie Greenspan's recipe for a pumpkin stuffed with bread and gruyere ever since I first saw it two years ago, but I have been too chicken to try it!
